Along the route, you will pass the UNESCO World Heritage site Bodman-Schachen (Löchle) as well as the archaeological sites Bodman-Weiler, Bodman-Schachen I and II, Ludwigshafen-Holzplatz, and Ludwigshafen Untere Gärten. Be sure to pay attention to the information panels at the harbor and along the trail through the nature reserve towards Ludwigshafen. Heading southeast, the route takes you to the info stop Dingelsdorf. Along this stretch, you will climb the heights of the Bodanrück and pass, from a distance, the sites Bodman-Hals, Bodman-Bodenburg, and Bodman-Blissenhalde. Within the Konstanz municipal area, you will pass the sites Wallhausen-Ziegelhütte, Dingelsdorf-Klausenhorn, and Dingelsdorf-Unterrieß. Of particular note is the harbor at Wallhausen with its boat landing and year-round ferry connection between Wallhausen and Überlingen (bicycles allowed). Peter Lenk "The Ship of Fools" (monument)
Seestraße (Seeum) 5, 78351 Bodman(-Ludwigshafen), Deutschland id: 15 The sculptor Peter Lenk from Bodman created the wall relief Narrenschiff ("Ship of Fools") in Bodman in 2018 for the municipality of Bodman-Ludwigshafen. The 10 m × 6 m relief is based on a poem by Sebastian Brant (1451–1521). On board the ship of fools are various figures: dropouts, top industrialists, eccentrics, beach beauties, and the solo band "Titanic". Clearly depicted are prominent figures from politics and business at the time, including Dieter Zetsche (Mercedes CEO), Martin Winterkorn (VW CEO), Rupert Stadler (Audi CEO), Christine Hohmann-Dennhardt (VW’s ethics officer), Beatrix von Storch (AfD parliamentary group leader in the Bundestag and member of the European Parliament), auto lobbyist Matthias Wissmann, transport minister Alexander Dobrindt, the Hamburg-Mannheimer insurance company, German President Joachim Gauck, environment minister Peter Altmaier, and others.
